In addition to above the Governor of Punjab is pleased to accord sanction of 10% additional seats reserved under fee waiver scheme for women, economically backward and physically handicapped meritorious students vide Notification no. 13/60/08-1TE2/3795, dated 26-08-2008. These 10% additional seats shall be given to the following categories in the ratio mentioned against each:
A) Women Candidates 33%
B) Economically Weaker 50% (annual income of parent/guardian less than Rs.2.5 Lac from all sources)
C) Physically Handicapped 17% |

| Important Notice for Newly Admitted students |
| |
| Newly Admitted Students must bring the following documents along with them :- |
| |
- DMC of Matric and 10+2 (Original and Attested Photocopies), If DMC of 10+2 is not available with them , then passing certificate from the school is required.
- Medical certificate from Govt. Hospital/Dispensary (As per the CET format)
- Affidavit - Citizen of India (as per CET format), If already submitted to PTU, then photocopy of the affidavit.
- Four latest Passport Size Coloured Photographs.
- Migration Certificate in Original other than Punjab School Education Board.
- Reserve Category Certificate if any
- Gap Affidavit(as per CET format), attested by the Executive Magistrate/Tehsildar
